The Galaxy Towers

Long Beach, CA

Design-Build Services: Built in 1968, The Galaxy is a 20-story historical high-rise HOA community with eighty residential units. The exterior building maintenance system that supports the suspended scaffold (think of the bucket for window cleaning) was decommissioned in 2013. iD8 engineered a custom exterior building maintenance system (EBMS) to be installed on a new structurally retrofitted roof. The scope of work includes EBMS, structural retrofit, windows and doors, roofing, new guardrails on floors 2-20, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, stucco, drywall, painting, and other miscellaneous trades.
